Seocho-gu Council Elects Kang Yeo-jeong as Budget and Accounts Committee Chairperson

2024 Revenue and Expenditure Budget Review Committee Formed... Reviewing Next Year's Budget of Approximately 863.8 Billion Won

The Seocho District Council (Chairman Oh Se-cheol) has formed a Budget and Accounts Committee and begun reviewing the Seocho District budget for next year.

To this end, at the 2nd plenary session of the 330th regular meeting held on the 23rd, the council established the Special Committee on Budget and Accounts to review the 2024 revenue and expenditure budget proposal, and elected Councilor Kang Yeo-jung as the chairperson.

Chairperson Kang Yeo-jung said, "I feel a heavy responsibility taking on the important role of chairperson of the Special Committee on Budget and Accounts during an economically challenging time like no other," adding, "I will do my best to ensure that the precious budget of our Seocho residents is not wasted on unnecessary areas but allocated appropriately."

Meanwhile, the total size of the budget proposal submitted by the executive branch is 863.8 billion KRW, an increase of 1.26% compared to 2023, consisting of 822.3 billion KRW in the general account and 41.5 billion KRW in the special account. The council plans to finalize the 2024 budget by adopting the administrative audit report at the 4th plenary session on the 13th, following the Budget and Accounts Committee review based on the results of the relevant standing committee reviews from December 6 to 12.
