Golfzon, which experienced a service outage, is now operating normally.
On the 28th, Golfzon announced, "We have completed emergency recovery from the service outage. Services such as access to the Golfzon app and store reservations have been normalized." On the 23rd, Golfzon's network was paralyzed due to a ransomware attack. The operation of Golfzon's website, app, and store management sites faced difficulties. Golfzon explained, "Some server disks were damaged due to a malicious ransomware attack. The recovery took considerable time as we proceeded with server replacement."
To prevent recurrence, Golfzon plans to expand investment in information security, conduct vulnerability assessments through external security experts, and strengthen cybersecurity. Golfzon emphasized, "Personal information is managed separately with encryption. There has been no leakage due to this ransomware attack." They also added, "Phishing messages impersonating Golfzon are being sent to unspecified individuals exploiting the service outage. If you receive such phishing messages, please block them immediately or report them as spam."
