Ministry of Justice Hosts International Conference on Improving Business Environment

On the 28th, the Ministry of Justice held the '2023 International Conference on Improving the Business Environment' at Hotel Naru in Mapo-gu, Seoul.

At the conference, representatives from major domestic and international arbitration institutions such as the World Bank, Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC), and the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) attended to discuss response strategies to the World Bank's business environment evaluation and ways to improve corporate legislation.

In particular, they exchanged opinions on the specific evaluation factors in the newly introduced 'Alternative Dispute Resolution and Financing' category of this year's World Bank business environment assessment and on institutional improvement measures in Korea.

The Ministry of Justice stated, "Based on the discussions at this conference, we will establish corporate legislation that meets global standards and promote improvements in the business environment."
