[Special Stock] Welcron, China’s 'Mycoplasma' Pneumonia Epidemic... Mask Fabric Exports Highlighted Upward

Welcron is showing strong performance. This is interpreted as being influenced by news that acute respiratory infections caused by 'Mycoplasma' are spreading epidemically in China.


As of 1:46 PM on the 28th, Welcron is trading at 3,235 KRW, up 2.21% compared to the previous day.


According to foreign media, Chinese health authorities officially issued a warning about respiratory diseases as pneumonia spread among children. Since the beginning of this month, pneumonia cases caused by Mycoplasma have surged among kindergarten and elementary school children, overwhelming hospitals, and the World Health Organization (WHO) has requested an investigation in Beijing.


Recently in China, respiratory patients, mainly children, experiencing flu-like symptoms have significantly increased, becoming a major social issue. Epidemics of Mycoplasma pneumonia, as well as rhinovirus and adenovirus, are occurring.


Mycoplasma pneumonia bacteria are a type of bacteria that cause colds and lung infections. Infection with this bacteria shows symptoms similar to COVID-19, including high fever over 38 degrees Celsius, runny nose, sore throat, fatigue, and coughing lasting more than two weeks.


Meanwhile, Welcron is known as a mask manufacturer exporting mask fabrics to countries such as China and Japan.
