Gwanak-gu Hosts Youth Career Special Lecture 'Career Roadmap Changing the Future'

Gwanak-gu Hosts Youth Career Special Lecture 'Career Roadmap Changing the Future'

Gwanak-gu (Mayor Park Jun-hee) will hold the SG Future School Campus Performance Sharing Event along with a special career lecture by an invited expert titled "Career Roadmap Changing the Future" at the Gwanak-gu Office Auditorium on December 7.


The event will be divided into two parts. In the first part, the achievements of the "2023 SG Future School Campus Project" operated by the district will be shared, showcasing how the specialized resources of universities have been successfully utilized in general high schools within Gwanak-gu.


Since July this year, the district has been operating high school career and college admission programs and the SG Future School Campus in collaboration with the Dongjak-Gwanak Office of Education and Seoul National University Lifelong Education Institute to prepare for the high school credit system.


Through this project, the district provides high-quality career exploration, career planning, and arts and physical education specialized programs to 12 general high schools in the region, receiving favorable reviews from students and parents.


The second part features a special lecture by Kang Ye-eun, the CEO and consultant of the professional college admission consulting agency "MY UNI."


Kang Ye-eun will explain in an easy-to-understand manner the know-how on "setting my own unwavering career and college admission goals and methods" for students and parents. Additionally, she will share valuable tips on career and college admission by reviewing student record examples together with student mentors from Seoul National University, making it a meaningful session.


There will also be a side event. From 3:40 PM for 40 minutes, a "1:1 Customized Career and Learning Counseling Booth" will be operated with Seoul National University student mentors and consultants.


The main event will take place from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM for two hours and is open to anyone interested in education, including students and parents.


To apply, submit the application form by accessing the Google QR code by December 6. The number of participants is limited to the first 300 applicants.

A district official stated, "The practical advice from an active consultant will be very beneficial in preparing for the rapidly changing educational environment," and added, "We hope many students and parents interested in career and college admission will participate."


Meanwhile, the district, in cooperation with the Dongjak-Gwanak Office of Education and Seoul National University Lifelong Education Institute, provides various programs for high school students in the region. The district operates a total of 53 courses across five fields including the 4th Industrial Revolution, humanities and social sciences, and creative arts, along with special art and physical education courses, offering personalized programs that serve as a strong support for students' career planning.
