The performance sharing event will be held on December 1-2 at Musinsa Studio Hannam Branch 1 located in Yongsan-gu, Seoul. The theme 'ARTNOLO.ZIP [Artnolo.zip]' is a compound word of Art, Technology, and compressed file (ZIP), representing the accumulated achievements. The event will feature 52 diverse programs including exhibitions that showcase the results of the technology convergence art support projects conducted by the Arts Council over the past seven years (support for art and technology convergence, online media art activities support, metaverse art activities support, art-technology matching projects). It will also provide a communication platform to promote collaboration among artists.
Since 2017, the Arts Council has supported approximately 2,000 technology convergence creative projects through four technology convergence art support programs. This year, a total of 414 projects were operated, including technology convergence art support, art-technology matching projects, and metaverse art activities support.
The event will include ▲pop-up theater ▲case study exhibitions ▲platform zones ▲experience zones. Presentations by artists and experts related to the support projects will also be held.
Programs where attendees can observe the creative process by project include ▲Art and Tech from the perspectives of companies and artists ▲Interaction in virtual reality worlds ▲Expansion of artistic expression using technology, along with artist talk programs sharing on-site stories.
Additionally, performances combining classical music, dance, traditional percussion, and technology will be presented, along with a website browsing experience and casebook exhibitions that provide an overview of each support project.
An Arts Council official said, “We planned the event so that artists and audiences can experience diverse cases of art and technology convergence and hear vivid voices about the meeting of art and technology.” He added, “Especially since the event is held at Musinsa Hannam Studio, which is easily accessible and hosts various pop-up events, we expect participation from a wide range of visitors.”
