By investor type, individuals and foreigners net sold 140.6 billion KRW and 106.2 billion KRW respectively. Meanwhile, institutions net bought 251.7 billion KRW.
By sector, pharmaceuticals fell 1.14%, while textiles and apparel, steel and metals, and non-metallic minerals also declined. Conversely, medical precision rose 1.25%, and electricity and gas, services, telecommunications, and machinery saw slight gains.
Among the top market capitalization stocks, Samsung Electronics closed at 71,300 KRW, down 400 KRW (0.56%) from the previous trading day. Celltrion and Samsung SDI fell 3.10% and 2.05% respectively. LG Energy Solution, LG Chem, POSCO Future M, and Kakao each dropped more than 1%. On the other hand, SK Hynix rose 2.11%, and Hyundai Motor and NAVER also saw slight increases.
On this day’s KOSPI, 350 stocks rose, including 3 stocks such as Daesang Holdings that hit the upper price limit. Meanwhile, 529 stocks declined without hitting the lower price limit, and 59 stocks remained unchanged.
The KOSDAQ closed at 810.25, down 4.75 points (0.58%) from the previous trading day.
By investor type, individuals and foreigners net bought 16.5 billion KRW and 21.8 billion KRW respectively. Institutions net sold 25.1 billion KRW.
By sector, internet, broadcasting services, and publishing and reproduction fell more than 2%. Computer services, digital content, medical and precision instruments, machinery equipment, pharmaceuticals, and software declined more than 1%. Conversely, semiconductors rose 2.56%.
Among the top market capitalization stocks, EcoPro BM closed at 241,000 KRW, down 2,000 KRW (0.82%) from the previous trading day. Pearl Abyss and Clasis fell 4.80% and 3.19% respectively. Celltrion Healthcare and POSCO DX each dropped more than 2%. On the other hand, Rino Industrial rose 11.40%, and HPSP also increased 5.14%.
On the KOSDAQ, 494 stocks rose, including 3 stocks such as M2N and MECICS that hit the upper price limit. Meanwhile, 1,085 stocks declined without hitting the lower price limit, and 58 stocks remained unchanged.
