Gangseo-gu to Hold College Admission Information Session for Regular Admissions on the 15th of Next Month

Gangseo-gu, Seoul (Mayor Jin Gyo-hoon) announced on the 27th that it will support the establishment of optimal college entrance strategies by conducting a ‘College Entrance Briefing Session and 1:1 Customized College Admission Counseling’ in preparation for the 2024 College Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT) regular admission.

The briefing session for regular admission will be held on the 15th of next month from 3 to 5 p.m. at the auditorium on the 7th floor of the Gomdallae Cultural Welfare Center, targeting 150 examinees and parents. Jeong Je-won, a leading EBS entrance exam instructor, will guide efficient regular admission application strategies in preparation for the increasingly difficult CSAT. He will explain the characteristics of regular admission screening for major universities in groups A, B, and C, and help resolve examinees’ questions.

The 1:1 customized college admission counseling will be held on the 16th and 17th of next month, the day after the briefing session, at the large lecture room on the 2nd floor of the Gangseo Lifelong Learning Center, targeting 72 examinees and parents. Six active teachers belonging to the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education’s College Admission Guidance Support Group plan to conduct 40-minute regular admission counseling sessions per student.

Those wishing to attend the college entrance briefing session can apply from 9 a.m. on the 27th via the Gangseo-gu Office website. Attendance is limited to 150 people on a first-come, first-served basis. The briefing session can also be viewed through the official YouTube channel of Gangseo-gu Office.

Students and parents who want to participate in the 1:1 customized college admission counseling can apply from 9 a.m. on the 1st of next month via the Gangseo-gu Office website. A total of 72 people will be recruited on a first-come, first-served basis, and after completing the application, confirmation of registration and counseling session assignments will be separately notified via individual text messages.

Both the briefing session and the counseling are intended for examinees who are residents of Gangseo-gu or who attend or have graduated from schools within Gangseo-gu. More detailed information, including how to apply in advance, can be found on the ‘Gangseo-gu Office website - Notices/News’ section.

Mayor Jin Gyo-hoon said, “I hope that participants will gain the information necessary to establish their own strategies through this college entrance program designed to prepare for the increasingly complex and diverse regular admission screening,” and added, “We will continue to actively support various admission and education programs to help Gangseo-gu students realize their dreams of entering the universities they desire.”
