The SNS channels managed by Imsil County Office in Jeonbuk have played a significant role as promotional assistants by promptly delivering news about various festivals, events, and county administration, leading to visible achievements such as an increase in users.
According to the county on the 27th, the SNS channels currently operated by the county office include four platforms: KakaoTalk Channel, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.

The total number of friends sharing these channels is 32,901, which far exceeds Imsil County’s total population of about 26,000, and the direct and indirect promotional ripple effect is estimated to reach over 100,000 people.
In fact, compared to last year, the increase in SNS channel friends is remarkable: KakaoTalk grew by 150% from 734 to 1,801 friends; YouTube increased by 1,882 (from 11,407 to 13,351); Facebook by 244 (from 13,429 to 13,673); and Instagram by 561 (from 3,515 to 4,076).
Especially, the rapidly growing KakaoTalk channel this year has established itself as a reliable ‘communication friend’ by delivering various county news, festivals, events, and disaster information more quickly and in a friendly manner.
The county actively communicates by operating various SNS channels and timely informing the public about festivals and events held at major tourist sites.
Notably, it has made remarkable contributions to attracting many tourists by promoting nationwide the Imsil N Cheese Festival, which attracted about 560,000 visitors; the Okjeongho Suspension Bridge, visited by about 400,000 people; the 40,000-pyeong cosmos flower fields; Saseondae; Seongsusan; and Osu Gyeong tourist sites.
Users visiting the county office SNS channels have increased the effectiveness by visiting Imsil’s major tourist sites and posting on their personal SNS, spreading and respreading the information to a wide audience.
At the Imsil N Cheese Festival, SNS promotional posts including Facebook, Instagram, Kakao Channel, and live broadcasts of the festival site featuring local resident ‘Narugang’ and comedian Oksimi in the show ‘Eomni! Gatchi-ga’ reached about 100,000 exposures, driving the festival’s success.
Facebook and Instagram have also widely promoted a positive image of Imsil County domestically and internationally by producing and providing differentiated content about major tourist sites, tastes, styles, and various news instead of heavy and rigid policy promotions.
Based on this SNS growth trend, the county expects to actively contribute to revitalizing the local economy through promoting the Imsil County tourism brand and to open the era of ten million tourists to Imsil County.
County Governor Shim Min said, “The Imsil County Office SNS has greatly contributed to promoting Imsil nationwide this year and attracting many tourists,” adding, “We will continue to do our best to promote Imsil tourism and ensure residents can quickly access county administration news through SNS operations that align with trends.”
