The DMC Industry-Academia Promotion Foundation announced that it held the '2023 DMC Innovation Camp Startup Competition (hereinafter DIC2023 Startup Competition)' pitching day and awards ceremony on the 23rd at the DMC Advanced Industry Center in collaboration with the DMC Conet Association.
This startup competition, co-hosted by the DMC Industry-Academia Promotion Foundation and the DMC Conet Association, was organized to promote successful commercialization through systematic nurturing of innovative ideas targeting entrepreneurs with the capabilities to lead the Fourth Industrial Revolution. This year marked the 8th edition of the event.
The competition was operated in two tracks, with a total of 107 teams participating. After a document screening, 20 teams advanced to the finals, where winners were selected based on presentation evaluations.
As a result of the judging, Intime Project (CEO Han Won) won the grand prize in the Pre-Startup Track, while Invelab (CEO Shin Wonhyeop) and Wis Medical Co., Ltd. (CEO Lee Seonghun) received the excellence awards in the Early Startup Track. The grand prize was awarded to Pond Makers Co., Ltd. (CEO Park Irae).
Ko Hongseok, Chairman of the DMC Industry-Academia Promotion Foundation, stated, “This 8th edition of the competition holds great significance in spreading startup culture. We will strive not only to make this a one-time event but also to continuously promote startup culture and discover entrepreneurial talent through follow-up support. Furthermore, based on various startup programs jointly operated by the Foundation and Conet, we will contribute to discovering innovative ideas and the growth of the startup ecosystem.”
