The Gyeongsangbuk-do Education Foundation will hold the '2023 2nd Scholarship Foundation Board of Directors Meeting' on the 27th at the Gyeongbuk Office of Education Hwaback Hall.
At this board meeting, key agenda items such as the 2023 1st supplementary budget proposal and the 2024 business plan and budget proposal will be reviewed and approved, and various opinions on the development plans for the Scholarship Foundation will be exchanged.
This year alone, the Scholarship Foundation awarded scholarships totaling 34.5 million KRW to 55 students, including outstanding students, students with excellent achievements, descendants of veterans of the Korean War and the Vietnam War, and descendants of independence activists.
Additionally, by the end of the year, it plans to provide an additional 100 million KRW to 155 students, including elementary and middle school students from low-income families, high school seniors preparing for university admission, and students who have brought honor to Gyeongbuk education in 2023.
Chairman Lim Jong-sik said, “Despite difficult circumstances following last year, thanks to generous scholarship donations, many students were able to pursue their studies with dreams and hopes,” and added, “We will continue to strive to provide scholarships to many students through various methods.”
