Seodaemun-gu and Chugye University of the Arts Sign Agreement for Regional Culture and Arts Development

Seodaemun-gu (Mayor Lee Seongheon) signed a business agreement on the afternoon of the 24th at the district office's planning situation room with Chugye University for the Arts to establish a 'mutual cooperation relationship for the development of local culture and arts.'


The signing ceremony was attended by about 20 people, including Lee Seongheon, Mayor of Seodaemun-gu, and Lim Sanghyeok, President of Chugye University for the Arts.


The main contents of the agreement made that day include ▲ establishing a network to strengthen the cultural and artistic capabilities of the local community ▲ preparing a cooperative system through the linkage of human and material resources in culture and arts ▲ cooperation in activities to enhance the image of Seodaemun-gu ▲ conducting lifelong arts education and volunteer activities ▲ exchange to activate the use of library knowledge and information resources ▲ and other matters for the mutual development of both institutions.


Last month, the district also held the 'Hongjecheon Where Culture Flows, Small Concert' with Chugye University for the Arts, presenting various genres of performances such as Korean traditional music, orchestral music, and vocal music to many audiences.


Lee Seongheon, Mayor of Seodaemun-gu, said, “We will continue to promote programs for the development of local culture and arts together with Chugye University for the Arts to increase residents' opportunities to enjoy culture and arts.”
