In the phone conversation, Lee is known to have had a dialogue with Mr. A implying affection and the possibility of drug use. The police are understood to have launched a full investigation into Lee's drug use based on the manager's testimony and such recorded phone conversations.

Lee is under police investigation this year for allegedly using various types of drugs, including marijuana, at the manager's residence in Seoul. The manager was arrested on the 18th of last month on charges of methamphetamine use. The manager has six prior convictions related to drug use, and before being detained in this case, a preliminary test revealed a large amount of psychotropic substances. During this process, the police seized the manager's mobile phone.
