North Korea: "Reconnaissance Satellite Captures USS Carl Vinson and Hawaii, US Nuclear Aircraft Carrier Docked in Busan"

North Korea announced on the 25th that it continuously captured images of the South using the military reconnaissance satellite 'Manrikkyeong-1' and that Chairman Kim Jong Un confirmed this.

The report added that Chairman Kim "specifically examined the photographic materials taken by the reconnaissance satellite as it passed over the Korean Peninsula between 10:15 AM and 10:27 AM on the 24th, capturing important target areas such as Mokpo, Gunsan, Pyeongtaek, Osan, Seoul, and various regions of our country."

Korean Central News Agency reported, "Comrade Kim Jong Un visited the Pyongyang Integrated Control Center of the National Aerospace Technology General Bureau again on the morning of the 25th and viewed photos taken by the reconnaissance satellite between 9:59:40 AM and 10:02:10 AM, capturing important target areas in enemy territory such as Jinhae, Busan, Ulsan, Pohang, Daegu, and Gangneung," on the same day.


According to the agency, the photo taken by the satellite at 10:01:10 AM showed the US Navy nuclear-powered aircraft carrier 'Carl Vinson' docked at the naval port located in Yongho-dong, Nam-gu, Busan.


Additionally, "Comrade Kim Jong Un also confirmed photos taken by the reconnaissance satellite passing over Hawaii at 5:13:22 AM Pyongyang time on the 25th, capturing the naval base at Pearl Harbor and Hickam Air Force Base in Honolulu," the report stated.


The agency conveyed, "Comrade Kim Jong Un praised and encouraged the staff of the National Aerospace Technology General Bureau who are responsibly and successfully conducting detailed control operations of the reconnaissance satellite, which is about to commence its official reconnaissance mission."


Earlier, North Korea reported on the morning of the same day that Chairman Kim Jong Un visited the Pyongyang Integrated Control Center on the 24th and confirmed satellite photos capturing Mokpo, Gunsan, Pyeongtaek, Osan, Seoul, and other areas.
