The U.S. Department of State announced that a senior official from the Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor will visit South Korea next week.
According to the Department of State on the 24th (local time), Erin Barclay, a senior official from the Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor, is scheduled to visit Jakarta, Indonesia, and Seoul from the 27th until the 1st of next month.
The Department of State stated that she will meet with representatives from various governments and civil society to discuss democracy and human rights-related matters.
Additionally, she will meet with civil society members and human rights activists from both countries to discuss efforts to improve public welfare, including for marginalized groups, the Department added.
