The Narcotics Crime Investigation Division of the Incheon Metropolitan Police Agency announced on the 24th that they have applied for an arrest warrant for Dr. A on charges of violating the Narcotics Control Act. According to the police, Dr. A is suspected of providing drugs to Lee and others through Mr. B, a manager of a nightlife business in Gangnam.
Earlier, the police conducted a search and seizure at Dr. A's residence in Gangnam, Seoul, and the hospital he operates, securing various medical records and his vehicle. It is known that the hospital he runs received warnings from health authorities this year due to excessive prescriptions of propofol.
Dr. A previously appeared on a health program on a comprehensive cable channel, gaining public recognition, and the hospital he formerly operated received an award at a health sector ceremony hosted by a media company.
