Introduction of Company-wide Integrated Verification System Starting This Year
Coway announced on the 24th that it was selected as an ‘Excellent Company in Quality Competitiveness’ at the ‘2023 49th National Quality Management Competition’ hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy’s National Institute of Technology and Standards and organized by the Korea Standards Association.
With this award, Coway became the eleventh company ever to be recognized as an Excellent Company in Quality Competitiveness.
During the product development verification stage, Coway received high evaluations by significantly reducing the defect rate through a full sample survey. Previously, the development, quality, and production teams conducted sampling inspections individually, but starting this year, Coway introduced a company-wide integrated verification system that thoroughly inspects all developed products. Through this, verification methods and standards for each component and performance were standardized to improve efficiency.
Coway operates a quality management program from the customer’s perspective. To prevent durability and performance defects that may occur depending on the usage period, periodic mass production reliability tests are conducted. Customer usage pattern data accumulated on the products are utilized and reflected in the testing methods. Additionally, through the ‘Daily Quality Net’ system, key quality-related data such as after-sales service (A/S) and returns are analyzed daily and monitored in real time, focusing on continuous quality enhancement.
Kang Young-seop, Head of Coway’s Quality Management Division, said, “We have established a systematic quality innovation system to conduct thorough inspections and quality management from the new product development stage, challenging zero defect rates. We will strive to enhance quality competitiveness and maximize customer satisfaction by proactively responding to potential risks that may arise in various usage environments.”
