Hampyeong-gun Achieves Great Success Winning 3 Categories at the 4th Jeollanam-do 4-H Awards

On the 23rd, Hampyeong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 24th that the Hampyeong-gun 4-H Association won awards in three categories at the ‘4th Jeollanam-do 4-H Awards Ceremony’ held at Boseong Culture and Arts Center.

The 4-H Awards Ceremony is held annually, hosted and organized by the Jeollanam-do 4-H Headquarters (Chairman Moon Hojin).

It is a traditional award system that selects outstanding school 4-H, youth 4-H, and 4-H leaders who embody the 4-H motto, “Make the good better, learn through practice,” and demonstrate excellent 4-H activity achievements through dedicated volunteer work.

On this day, the Hampyeong-gun 4-H Association received the following awards: in the youth 4-H category, Kim Seung-sun, chairman of the Hampyeong-gun 4-H Federation, received the Korea 4-H Jeonnam Headquarters Chairman’s Award (Grand Prize); in the comprehensive evaluation category of city/county 4-H headquarters, the Korea 4-H Hampyeong-gun Headquarters (Chairman Jang Gap-gi) received the Korea 4-H Jeonnam Headquarters Chairman’s Award (Excellence Award); and in the Proud Senior-Junior Award category, Jeong Cheon-su (auditor of Korea 4-H Jeonnam Headquarters) received the Jeonnam 4-H Federation Chairman’s Award (Senior Award).

The Hampyeong-gun 4-H Association was honored for its efforts throughout the year in conducting various 4-H project activities, education, advanced site visits, and experiences, contributing to the nurturing of young farmers who will lead the sustainable development of agriculture and rural areas in Hampyeong-gun.

Jang Gap-gi, chairman of the Korea 4-H Hampyeong-gun Headquarters, said, “The 4-H Awards Ceremony is a meaningful occasion that enhances the pride and honor of members and leaders and marks the fruition of fostering the 4-H Association. This award was possible because members participated and worked hard together.”

Kim Seung-sun, chairman of the Hampyeong-gun 4-H Federation, stated, “The reason young 4-H members in agriculture and rural areas can hold hope and pursue their dreams is thanks to the efforts of the members and the county administration. We will continue to do our best to become exemplary young farmers who practice the 4-H ideals of head, heart, hands, and health.”
