The Gyeonggi-do Fire and Disaster Headquarters is partnering with Daelim University to strengthen firefighter education and training.
On the 24th, the Fire and Disaster Headquarters announced that on the 23rd, it signed a memorandum of understanding with Daelim University, located in Anyang-si, Gyeonggi-do, to develop talent in the field of fire safety. The signing ceremony was attended by Daelim University President Hwang Un-kwang and other university officials, as well as Cho Seon-ho, head of the Gyeonggi-do Fire and Disaster Headquarters.
According to the agreement, the two organizations will jointly develop academic and information exchanges as well as human and material resources related to firefighter education and training. They will also promote various projects necessary for scholarship support and nurturing talent in the fire and safety fields.
Daelim University President Hwang Un-kwang said, "We are pleased to sign this agreement with Gyeonggi Fire to develop talent in the fire sector," and promised, "We will actively support Gyeonggi Fire so that it can lead firefighting in South Korea in every aspect."
Cho Seon-ho, head of the Fire and Disaster Headquarters, emphasized, "Through this agreement with Daelim University, we expect to expand opportunities for firefighter education and strengthen fire education opportunities," adding, "We will strive to enhance human capabilities through various exchanges."
