HiteJinro Launches 5 Varieties of RM Champagne 'Allang Bayu'

HiteJinro announced on the 24th that it will launch five types of champagne from the house 'Alain Bailly,' which has been producing champagne for about six generations near Reims, France, since 1940.

Alain Bailly is an RM producer that independently manages the entire process from grape cultivation to champagne production. RM (R?coltant Manipulant) refers to producers who make champagne using only grapes grown in vineyards owned by the champagne house. Alain Bailly cultivates grapes directly in Serzy-et-Prin, a production area located in the northern part of the Montagne de Reims region in France. Founded in 1962 by Alain Bailly and his wife, this vineyard is renowned as a sacred place for Pinot Meunier, a premium red wine grape variety.

Alain Bailly's vineyard covers a total area of 13 hectares (approximately 40,000 pyeong) and is subdivided into 86 distinct plots. The complex terroir characteristics of these individually separated lands enable the production of distinctive champagnes.

'Alain Bailly Brut Tradition' is a well-crafted champagne primarily made from grapes grown in terroirs with various soil layers such as sand, gravel, concrete, and limestone. It achieves a perfect balance between the two grape varieties, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay. 'Alain Bailly Brut Cuv?e P?tronille' uses grapes cultivated in the best terroirs suited for each variety?Pinot Meunier, Chardonnay, and Pinot Noir?and highlights a fresh and clean fruity aroma with a rich taste.

'Alain Bailly Brut Cuv?e Fleur de Vigne' mainly uses grapes grown in terroirs with sandy soils layered with marl, limestone, and chalk, allowing the acidity and complex aromas of the Pinot Meunier variety to be experienced. 'Alain Bailly Brut Cuv?e Prestige' uses grapes grown in the best terroirs suited for Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier, offering a variety of flavors and a high-quality taste.

'Alain Bailly Brut Cuv?e Exception' blends grapes grown in the best terroirs for Pinot Meunier, Chardonnay, and Pinot Noir in equal proportions. This is a captivating, high-quality golden-hued champagne that offers a wide range of flavors from fruity notes to strong acidity.

Alain Bailly champagnes will be sold through GS25 convenience stores, Hyundai Department Store (Mokdong, Cheonho, Pangyo, Mia, and Sinchon branches), Hyundai Premium Outlet Songdo, Shinsegae Department Store (Main and Gangnam branches), and wine shops.
