On the 22nd, Deputy Director Nam appeared on the pro-opposition YouTube channel 'Park Si-young TV' and said, "Why can't we say that word ('female')?" adding, "What is so wrong with using it as a metaphor to explain a situation featured on 'Animal Farm'?"

However, after the remarks sparked controversy, she apologized and decided to step down. She said, "I will take full responsibility and resign from my position as deputy director of the Democratic Research Institute. Regardless of the reasons, I sincerely apologize once again for my thoughtlessness."
