How Far Will Future War Air Weapon Technology Go?… LIG Nex1 Hosts Seminar on Air Guided Weapons and Electronics Development

"Sharing Current Status of Weapon Systems, Responding to Changes in the Battlefield Environment"

A seminar to share the current status of aerospace weapon systems technology and prepare for changes in future warfare was held in Daejeon.


LIG Nex1 (CEO Kim Ji-chan) announced on the 24th that it held the 3rd Aerospace Guided Weapon and Avionics Development Seminar under the theme of "Future Aerospace Weapon Systems Development Direction" at Daejeon House on the 23rd.


The event was attended by about 150 key personnel, including Air Force Logistics Command Commander Major General Yoo Jae-moon, LIG Nex1 PGM Business Division Head Lee Geon-hyuk, and Inha University Professor Lee Seung-soo.

This seminar was organized with the purpose of sharing the current technology status and effectively responding to changes in future battlefield environments to strengthen domestic development capabilities and expertise in aerospace weapon systems.


It is expected to contribute to the advancement of domestic defense technology through intensive communication between experts in aerospace weapon system development, mass production, and operational entities.


The presentations included eight topics such as ▲Development status of short-range air-to-air guided missile data link and seeker ▲Ways to enhance FA-50 operational efficiency ▲Operation methods for medium/small drones.


The exhibition held as a side event showcased 13 items including ▲Long-range air-to-ground guided missiles ▲Short-range air-to-air guided missile seekers and simulators ▲FA-50 air-cooled AESA ▲KF-21 EW (Electronic Warfare) Suite and avionics equipment.


Kim Ji-chan, CEO of LIG Nex1, stated, “We plan to contribute to the advancement of our Air Force capabilities by strengthening domestic aerospace weapon system development capabilities,” and added, “We will further activate technology exchanges with military, industry, academia, and research experts through this seminar.”
