Successful Completion of Diagnostic Survey for High-Value-Added Industrial Capital Transformation
Ulsan City was recognized for its contributions to statistical work and was selected as an excellent institution.
On the 24th, Ulsan City announced that it was selected as an 'Excellent Institution' in the 2023 Statistical Survey Promotion Merit category organized by Statistics Korea and received a commendation from the Minister of Strategy and Finance.
This year, Ulsan City successfully conducted the Business Survey and the Mining and Manufacturing Survey, producing high-quality data while simultaneously realizing scientific administration for national economic development, earning excellent evaluations.
In particular, survey personnel received praise for collecting high-quality data by working directly in the field under difficult conditions to elicit accurate responses from respondents for the successful completion of the surveys.
Additionally, in the individual commendation category, a public official from Buk-gu Office and a survey personnel were each awarded the Minister of Strategy and Finance Award in recognition of their contributions.
An official from Ulsan City stated, “We thank the survey personnel who worked hard in the field and the target businesses that actively participated in the survey. Moving forward, we will closely monitor changes in new industries and employment structures resulting from large-scale investments in secondary batteries, hydrogen and electric future vehicles, and petrochemicals to produce high-quality statistics.”
On November 3rd, Ulsan City also received the Excellence Award for two consecutive years in the field of statistics and big data utilization at the ‘2023 Regional Statistics Best Practices Contest.’
Furthermore, by actively utilizing statistical survey microdata for diagnosing key industries, conducting automotive industry status surveys, and researching proactive responses to employment crises, Ulsan City is recognized nationwide as an excellent local government leading scientific administration in statistics.
