On the 22nd, 'Job Field Practical Staff Strategy Meeting' Held to Achieve 1st Place in Regional Job Target Disclosure System... Over 70 Members from 30 Departments Gather to Discuss 2024 Regional Job Expansion Action Plans
Dongdaemun-gu (District Mayor Lee Pil-hyung) held a "Strategic Meeting for Job Sector Practitioners" on the 22nd at the 5th floor planning situation room of the district office to achieve the goal of being "No. 1 nationwide in the 2024 Regional Job Target Disclosure System (2023 performance)."
The district won the "Excellence Award" at the "2023 National Local Government Job Awards," which evaluates the results of the Regional Job Target Disclosure System promotion in August this year. In October, to achieve first place among 243 local governments nationwide in next year's job sector evaluation, the district newly established a "Job Sector Strategy and 2024 Operation Plan" and began performance management.
On the 22nd, a meeting for practitioners was held to share the district's job project vision and core strategies, assess the achievement of this year's project goals, and seek future evaluation response plans. About 70 officials from 30 project departments promoting the district's direct and indirect job projects, such as public job projects and job infrastructure construction projects, attended the meeting.
At the meeting, employees reaffirmed the district's job policy direction and the job targets set in the early 2023 "Detailed Job Measures Plan" (9,339 direct and indirect job creations / 64.4% employment rate within the region).
They also checked the progress of seven items in the "quantitative evaluation" field, including ▲direct jobs ▲employment services ▲job infrastructure construction, and analyzed and discussed response plans for evaluation items in the "qualitative evaluation" field, such as ▲establishing a permanent cooperation system between departments ▲building a public-private cooperation system ▲discovering excellent job creation cases.
Next, they discussed the operational direction of job projects for 2024.
To ensure stable project promotion, the district plans to actively apply for public offering projects and subsidy projects and make efforts to secure budgets. They plan to newly discover "regional industry-customized projects" that provide tailored jobs by age group such as youth, middle-aged, and elderly, supporting 1,179 more people than this year. Indirect job projects such as ▲vocational skill development training projects ▲employment and start-up support projects ▲job infrastructure construction projects will also be gradually expanded.
Choi Hong-yeon, Deputy Mayor of Dongdaemun-gu, said, "I hope that all employees will unite as one to achieve the goal and surpass the excellence award received this year to achieve the great success of being selected as No. 1 in the 'Regional Job Target Disclosure System' in 2024." He added, "Next year, we will continue to discover public jobs suited to regional characteristics and actively operate employment linkage services such as job fairs for customized job connections, making Dongdaemun-gu a vibrant economic city where everyone wants to live."
