SK Inc. C&C Partners with Neurofit to Expand AI Brain Disease Medical Services

SK㈜ C&C announced on the 23rd that it has signed a strategic business agreement with Neurofit, a specialized company in brain disease imaging artificial intelligence (AI) solutions, to expand brain disease AI.


Founded in 2016, Neurofit is a company that researches and develops brain imaging analysis solutions covering the entire cycle of brain disease diagnosis, treatment guidance, and therapy based on artificial intelligence technology. Utilizing the AI engine 'Neurofit SegEngine,' which segments brain images at ultra-high speed and precisely analyzes the unique brain structure of each individual, the company has developed and owns various brain disease solution products.

Through the partnership, the two companies will introduce a 'Total Medical AI Service for Brain Diseases' that integrates each company's AI solutions. In the stroke field, SK㈜ C&C’s solutions include ▲'Medical Insight Plus Brain Hemorrhage,' which diagnoses brain hemorrhage based on non-contrast computed tomography (CT) ▲non-contrast CT-based brain infarction diagnosis solution ▲computed tomography angiography (CTA)-based brain aneurysm diagnosis solution, which will be linked with Neurofit’s AI for stroke diagnosis currently under development.


Neurofit will apply its solutions to the total medical AI service for brain diseases, including ▲'Neurofit Scale PET,' an automatic analysis software for positron emission tomography (PET) images that quantitatively analyzes dementia biomarkers (indicators that detect changes in the body using proteins, DNA, metabolites, etc.) ▲'Neurofit Ink,' a transcranial electrical stimulation treatment device ▲'Neurofit TesLab,' brain imaging treatment planning software.


They will also strengthen joint domestic and international sales and marketing activities. Starting with marketing at the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA), the largest medical conference held in Chicago, USA, on the 26th, the two companies plan to cooperate in targeting global markets such as the United States and Japan.


Yoon Dong-jun, head of the Healthcare Group at SK㈜ C&C, said, "We will strive to provide practical help to the medical field through a total medical AI service for brain diseases that covers both cerebrovascular and neurological systems and accommodates the entire cycle from diagnosis to treatment."
