The project fields include 14 job types such as ▲ Anyangcheon Park Loess Road Environmental Keeper ▲ Academic and Career Education Companion Team ▲ School Zone Traffic Safety Keeper ▲ Our Neighborhood Digital Guide ▲ Our Neighborhood Safety and Environment Guardian, aiming to provide customized companionship for vulnerable groups in the community such as children, seniors, and youth.

The ‘Loess Road Environmental Keeper’ is responsible for maintaining the surface and cleanliness of the loess road in Anyangcheon Park, which is gaining attention as a health spot, and providing guidance to create a pleasant usage environment.

The ‘Academic and Career Education Companion Team,’ specialized for the educational city Yangcheon, is assigned to the ‘Education Support Center (tentative name)’ and provides one-stop support from operating experiential education programs to psychological and emotional management of youth using the center. The ‘School Zone Traffic Safety Keeper’ protects children by monitoring and reporting risk factors at construction sites near school routes as well as guiding traffic and pedestrian safety around elementary schools for safe commuting.

The ‘Our Neighborhood Digital Guide’ assists middle-aged and elderly residents at the community service center with devices such as unmanned civil service issuance machines and kiosks, as well as digital platforms like Government24 and Bokjiro.

In addition, the district plans to strengthen the social safety net and support vulnerable groups through the Companion Job Project, which will be fully launched in early January next year, including roles such as ‘Our Neighborhood Safety and Environment Guardian’ who create a clean and safe living environment by cracking down on illegal dumping, inspecting rainwater drains, and collecting illegal advertisements.

The number of recruits is 182, and applicants must be residents aged 18 to under 65 with the ability to work. From this selection, eligibility criteria have been relaxed to expand the target group to those with household assets under 469 million KRW and below 80% of the median income standard.

Working hours are 4 hours per day, 5 days a week as a principle, and the next year’s minimum wage of 9,860 KRW per hour will be applied. In addition, weekly holiday allowance and snack expenses will be paid separately.

Residents wishing to apply should visit their local community service center with documents such as the project participation application form and job registration certificate by December 5. The district will notify the selection results individually in early January next year after screening.

Lee Gi-jae, Mayor of Yangcheon-gu, said, “I hope the Companion Job Project will be of some help to residents struggling with the economic downturn and high prices,” adding, “We ask for your interest and support, and we will do our best to actively discover and operate quality jobs to contribute to revitalizing the local economy and stabilizing people’s livelihoods.”
