Dobong-gu Selected for 2024 One-Stop Package Support Project for Reclusive and Isolated Youth by Ministry of Gender Equality
Secures 93 Million Won Budget, Provides Comprehensive Support for Reclusive and Isolated Youth
Establishes One-Stop Support System from Discovery and Counseling to Customized Services and Self-Reliance Support
Dobong-gu (Mayor Oh Eon-seok) announced that it has been finally selected for the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family’s public project, the ‘2024 One-Stop Support Package Project for Reclusive and Isolated Youth,’ securing a budget of 93 million KRW.
The district plans to invest the secured budget in the support project for reclusive and isolated youth by proactively identifying and counseling these youths, and establishing a one-stop support system including individualized customized services and self-reliance support.
This project aims to help reclusive and isolated youth recover psychological and social relationships early and grow up healthily. To this end, the Dobong-gu Out-of-School Youth Support Center will operate programs and provide tailored services to assist the self-reliance and social relationship formation of reclusive and isolated youth.
Oh Eon-seok, Mayor of Dobong-gu, said, “The increase of reclusive and isolated youth has emerged as a social issue following COVID-19. The district will do its best to help their daily lives and overcome social isolation and fear through home visits and continuous case management.”
Meanwhile, a total of 11 local governments, including Dobong-gu, 2 metropolitan cities/provinces, and 9 cities/counties/districts, were finally selected in this public contest.
