Selection of 226 Participants in 42 Projects Across 5 Fields for Public Job Programs Based on Self-Reliance and Self-Help
Applications Accepted at Local Community Centers Until December 1, with Announcements in Early January Next Year
Seongdong-gu, Seoul (Mayor Jung Won-oh) is recruiting a total of 226 participants for the Seongdong-gu Companion Job Project for the first half of 2024 until December 1.
The Companion Job Project is a public job program based on 'self-reliance and mutual aid,' where socially vulnerable individuals help other vulnerable groups. It consists of a total of 42 projects selected across five fields: ▲economy ▲physical health ▲safety ▲digital ▲climate and environment.
Seongdong-gu will select 226 participants through the recruitment process running until December 1. Anyone aged 18 or older with the ability to work and residing in Seongdong-gu can apply; however, those who ▲own assets exceeding 469 million KRW ▲have an income exceeding 80% of the median income standard ▲or have exceeded the number of allowed participations are excluded from eligibility.
Residents wishing to apply should bring required documents such as the 'Job Registration Certificate' issued at the Hope Job Center on the first floor of Seongdong-gu Office and submit their application through the community service center of their residential jurisdiction. Participant selection will consider various factors such as asset and income criteria, project participation period, and whether the applicant belongs to a vulnerable employment group, with results expected to be announced in early January next year.
Final selected participants will be individually notified and will participate in the project for about six months from January 10 to June 30 next year. Detailed information can be found on the Seongdong-gu Office website, and inquiries can be made by calling the Seongdong-gu Job Policy Division.
Jung Won-oh, Mayor of Seongdong-gu, stated, "Despite the difficult economic conditions, we will actively promote public job projects to support vulnerable groups and strive to help them achieve practical self-reliance."
