Saenghwal Maekju Unveils 3 New Menu Items to Celebrate Kimchi Day

On the 22nd, Saenghwal Maekju announced the launch of three new kimchi-themed menu items to celebrate Kimchi Day.

The new menu items include Angry Bird Kimchi Queen, Kimkkotdong, and Kimchi Fries, created in collaboration with Seoul Sisters, a sprinkle-on kimchi powder brand that recently won first place in the 2023 Korea Consumer Satisfaction Index.

Angry Bird Kimchi Queen is the main item among the three new dishes. It is a menu that adds kimchi seasoning to Saenghwal Maekju’s signature Angry Bird chicken. The crispy and spicy flavor unique to Angry Bird chicken is enhanced with the rich umami of kimchi seasoning, expected to captivate many “chimaek” (chicken and beer) lovers visiting Saenghwal Maekju.

Kimkkotdong is a hearty udon dish containing kimchi, flower crab, and yubu pouches, targeting consumers looking for a warm and spicy broth during the cold winter. The refreshing and clean taste derived from the flower crab and kimchi blends well with the kimchi seasoning, making it a cost-effective menu item suitable for both meals and snacks.

Kimchi Fries are freshly fried potato fries tossed with kimchi seasoning, creating a spicy and savory flavor that maximizes the natural nuttiness of the potatoes. It effectively cuts through the greasiness typical of fries, making it a highly addictive beer snack recommendation.

The three new menu items are available starting today at over 250 Saenghwal Maekju locations nationwide, including 45 directly managed stores.
