On the 21st, the Military Mutual Aid Association received three awards at the '2023 Korea Volunteer Awards,' including the '2023 Korea Volunteer Award,' the 'President of the Korean Red Cross Award,' and the 'Beautiful Korean Award.'

Since 2010, the '2023 Korea Volunteer Awards,' hosted by the Korea UN Volunteers Association, honors institutions, companies, and individuals who have made significant contributions to national and community development. Candidates who have practiced neighborly love in unseen places are recommended and selected through a rigorous review process. The purpose is to actively promote those who have contributed to warm sharing and to develop a culture of sharing.

Under the vision of being the 'Best Military Welfare Institution Leading the Global Future,' the Military Mutual Aid Association earned this honor in recognition of its diverse and continuous social contribution activities as well as efforts to improve member welfare. The association conducts various volunteer activities such as the Love Meal Sharing event and the Love Briquette Sharing event to create a beautiful local community and actively promotes efforts to enhance member welfare.

In particular, since the appointment of Chairman Jeong Jaegwan, the association has supported dining out for disabled families, provided daily necessities and side dishes, and supplied cool mats during midsummer at Gangnam Seum Welfare Center and Hasang Disabled Welfare Center. It also sponsored the renovation of aging dining facilities so that about 300 low-income disabled individuals can eat in a comfortable environment every day.

In addition to community coexistence activities, the association is developing member welfare systems such as personal rehabilitation cost support and living assistance loans for junior officers facing economic difficulties.

Furthermore, it practices ethical management by taking the lead in corporate social responsibility, including donating funds for the restoration of earthquake damage in Turkey and Syria, providing consolation money to soldiers who supported flood victims, comforting families of national veterans and war veterans, and conducting cemetery purification activities at the National Cemetery.

Jeong Jaegwan, Chairman of the Military Mutual Aid Association, said, “With this '2023 Korea Volunteer Award,' we will fulfill our responsibilities as a social enterprise by further promoting community coexistence and providing practical help to members facing difficult living conditions.”
