Xi Jinping and Putin Speak with One Voice: "High-Level Cooperation Between the Two Countries"

Joint Greetings at the 10th Bilateral Ruling Parties Exchange Event

Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin sent greetings on the 20th (local time) to the 10th exchange event between the ruling parties of China’s Communist Party and Russia’s ruling United Russia Party, confirming their friendship by stating that "the two countries are cooperating at a high level."

According to foreign media including TASS news agency, President Xi said, "The world has entered a new era of upheaval and change," and evaluated that "China-Russia relations have withstood tests amid the rapid changes in the international environment."

He added, "Next year marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries," emphasizing, "We are ready to firmly develop bilateral relations with Russia based on the spirit of eternal good-neighborliness, comprehensive strategic cooperation for the development of both countries, and the spirit of mutually beneficial cooperation." He further stated, "Through the development of bilateral relations, we can bring more stability and positive energy to the world."

President Putin also stated, "The comprehensive and strategic partnership between Russia and China is at an unprecedentedly high level," noting that "large-scale joint projects are underway in the fields of economy, transportation, energy, humanitarian affairs, and others." He added, "The two countries cooperate not only on a bilateral basis but also in multilateral formats such as the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and BRICS, contributing to the resolution of major international issues and the building of a more just and democratic world order."
