On the morning of the 20th, reviewing the nationwide administrative network error incident that occurred on the 17th... "We will do our best to provide kind and prompt civil service response as the system is restored"
Lee Pil-hyung, the mayor of Dongdaemun-gu, inspected the civil service counters on the first floor of the government building on the morning of the 20th to check whether work was being carried out smoothly following the nationwide administrative network error incident that occurred on the 17th.
The Ministry of the Interior and Safety announced that from the 20th, civil document issuance services would resume at resident centers in cities, counties, districts, towns, and neighborhoods nationwide, and the online civil service platform 'Government24' is also operating normally. Following the system recovery, the district's civil service counters saw a steady flow of citizens seeking to obtain various documents.
In response to the administrative network failure on the 17th, the district continuously monitored the system. Over the weekend, to ensure the smooth resumption of the resident registration information system, emergency shifts were conducted at the main office civil service counters and each neighborhood administrative welfare center, carrying out two rounds of system failure recovery tests. Additionally, to prepare for potential login issues with the administrative system, shortcuts to major system lists were added to the administrative system login page, completing the necessary work. Early on the 20th, a manual for civil service officers on handling service failures was shared.
Lee Pil-hyung, mayor of Dongdaemun-gu, stated, “We apologize for the inconvenience caused by the suspension of some civil services due to the administrative network system failure,” and added, “With the system restored, we will do our best to provide kind and prompt civil service responses to prevent any further damage.”
