After attending the '2023 Korea Population Forum' held in Samseong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, Minister Han told reporters, when asked "When will you announce specific plans regarding the general election?" that he would focus on his current duties.
Regarding the comment, "There are talks that your candidacy is confirmed after visiting Daegu over the weekend," Minister Han said, "I believe I have sufficiently answered that question," adding, "I have nothing special to say."
When asked about reports suggesting that he accepted continuous calls from the ruling party to run, he replied, "Reports, guesses, and observations are things anyone can make," and added, "I would like to say that I am diligently doing my work."
In response to the question that his consecutive visits to Daejeon and Ulsan this week as part of his legal policy field visits seem like steps toward candidacy, he said, "Try googling it once," and mentioned, "Other ministers besides me have also carried out many such duties."
