Cheongsong-gun Introduces Committee Talent Pool System

Cheongsong-gun, Gyeongbuk Province, is introducing and operating a committee talent pool system to expand citizen participation in various committees managed by the county office and to encourage experts from diverse fields to participate in county administration.

Cheongsong-gun Introduces Committee Talent Pool System Cheongsong County Office.

Currently, about 922 people are active in 99 committees in Cheongsong-gun, but there are many cases of reappointment of duplicate members due to a low influx of new committee members.

To address this issue, the county plans to build a talent pool database (DB) of citizens from all walks of life to expand citizen participation in various committees and assign them leading roles for the development of county administration, thereby enhancing administrative transparency and democracy.

The established talent pool DB will be extracted and provided when departments within the county office request data for appointing new committee members. The requesting departments will appoint members after verification processes such as qualification checks, and after the committee members’ terms end, evaluations will be conducted to maintain a high-quality talent pool.

Cheongsong-gun is continuously recruiting for the committee talent pool through the Cheongsong-gun website, mail, and fax. Any Cheongsong-gun citizen with professional experience in various social fields and an interest in county administration can apply.

However, since the talent pool is a manpower bank system, applying does not mean immediate appointment as a committee member, and appointments will not be made to committees where private participation is restricted according to related establishment and operation regulations.

County Governor Yoon Kyung-hee said, “Through the operation of the committee talent pool, accessibility and interest in various committees will improve, expanding citizen participation in county administration and enabling them to play a leading role in the development of county administration.”
