The local housing cooperative ‘Nokyang Station The CL59’ donated 1,050kg of rice to local residents on the 17th.
The donation consisted of a total of 94 bags of white rice (10kg and 20kg each), received instead of congratulatory wreaths at the housing promotion center opening ceremony on the 10th. The rice will be evenly distributed to the Heungseon-dong Welfare Support Division, Gyeonggi Northern Temporary Childcare Center, Isaac’s House, Uijeongbu Infant Home, and families under case management.
The delivery ceremony was attended by Seo Eun-seok, head of the Uijeongbu Nokyang Station Area Mixed-Use Local Housing Cooperative, along with officials from the Uijeongbu City Welfare Policy Division.
A representative of the local housing cooperative stated, “We received rice wreaths aiming for donations instead of congratulatory wreaths that are discarded after one use.
