Opening of Seongdong-gu Seongsu Tourist Information Center at Seongsu Station on the 16th, Full Operation
Expected to Serve as a Regional Tourism Hub by Linking Local Festivals and Experience Programs with Customized Tourist Guidance
Seongdong-gu, Seoul (Mayor Jung Won-oh) has opened the 'Seongdong-gu Seongsu Tourist Information Center' inside Seongsu Station on Line 2 and has begun full-scale operations.
Seongsu-dong is a cultural, artistic, and fashion industry hub harmonized with Seoul Forest, attracting not only young people but also foreign tourists from countries such as China and Japan recently. In response, Seongdong-gu has actively taken steps to revitalize local tourism.
On the 16th, Seongdong-gu opened the 'Seongdong-gu Seongsu Tourist Information Center,' a 38.74㎡ facility inside Seongsu Station, and started full operations. Going forward, the district plans to operate the tourist information center as a base for local tourism.
Seongdong-gu intends to link festivals and experience programs held in the area with the tourist information center so that tourists can participate. Additionally, it will recommend travel courses by region and provide customized tourism information services to visitors.
The Seongdong-gu Seongsu Tourist Information Center operates from Tuesday to Sunday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. A professional tourist interpreter-guide will be stationed at the center to provide smooth guidance and convenience to both domestic and international tourists.
Jung Won-oh, Mayor of Seongdong-gu, said, “The tourist information center was established so that visitors to Seongdong-gu can feel the uniqueness of the area,” adding, “We will strive to discover diverse tourism content so that everyone is satisfied and can visit Seongdong-gu again.”
