The development project of the Incheon Geomam Station Public Housing District (around 81 Geombawi-ro, Seo-gu), promoted as part of the plan to supply 300,000 houses in the metropolitan area, commenced construction on the 17th.
According to Incheon Urban Corporation (iH) on the 20th, the Incheon Geomam Station Public Housing District development project involves supplying a total of 6,629 apartment units, including 3,953 public housing units, on an 810,000㎡ area around Geomam Station, where the Incheon Airport Railroad passes. The first residents are expected to move in by 2027.
The project area is planned to be developed as a transportation hub where railway and road facilities such as the Airport Railroad and subway intersect and transfer, offering excellent accessibility between metropolitan cities including Seoul.

Additionally, a Geomam Station complex transfer center is scheduled to be built within the public housing district. Last August, iH signed a business agreement with a private consortium (IBK Investment & Securities Consortium) to promote a terminal in the northwestern region through the complex transfer center project.
At the groundbreaking ceremony, Jo Dong-am, president of iH, stated, "The connection between Geomam Station and the complex transfer center will greatly improve transportation convenience for nearby residents," and added, "We will proceed with the public housing district development project without delay to contribute to the housing stability of Incheon citizens."
