GS Shop announced on the 19th that it has launched LG Electronics home appliance subscription products for the first time in TV home shopping.
GS Shop will broadcast programs introducing LG Electronics home appliance subscription products three times on the 20th, 22nd, and 28th.
LG Electronics home appliance subscription products are a core business of LG Electronics' 'UP Appliances 2.0' presented last July. The main goal is to provide home appliance subscription services optimized for customers' preferences and lifestyles, maintain continuous customer relationships, and offer differentiated experiences.
The subscription products broadcasted by GS Shop this time include most of LG Electronics' main home appliances, from the LG Tromm Objet Collection dryer to the Styler, PuriCare air purifier, refrigerator, induction cooktop, and dishwasher. The subscription period can be selected between 36 and 72 months, and depending on the product, on-site services can be received every 3 to 6 months. For example, for washing machines, customers can choose maintenance services such as drain filter cleaning and drum interior cleaning every 6 months, and for dryers, on-site services such as lower filter cleaning, replacement of safety filters, and humidity sensor inspection are available every 6 months.
The subscription fee varies depending on the type and number of products subscribed to. For example, subscribing to the LG Tromm Objet Collection dryer for 72 months including 6-month on-site services costs 41,900 KRW per month, and subscribing to the air purifier under the same conditions costs 19,900 KRW per month. If both products are subscribed to together, they can be used at a discounted rate of 53,500 KRW per month, which is 13% off. Additionally, if customers apply for affiliated credit cards, they can receive discounts of up to 23,000 KRW per month during the subscription period depending on their usage.
A GS Shop representative said, "Since LG Electronics is expanding its business area toward providing solutions for everyday life, there was a strong desire to actively introduce subscription products to consumers, which led to partnering with GS Shop. As subscription has become commonplace in the digital service sector, we will work with LG Electronics to change the era so that home appliances can be subscribed to rather than purchased with a large sum of money."
