Silla University Holds 2023 Sejeong Nanum Foundation Scholarship Award Ceremony

Shilla University held the ‘2023 Academic Year Sejeong Nanum Foundation Scholarship Award Ceremony’ for 20 enrolled students.

The award ceremony took place on the 15th at 3 p.m. in the large conference room on the 2nd floor of the university headquarters, with President Heo Nam-sik, Sejeong Nanum Foundation Chairman Park Soon-ho, and other key officials from both institutions, along with 20 scholarship recipients in attendance.

The social welfare corporation Sejeong Nanum Foundation awards scholarships annually with the hope that local university students will become talents who contribute to the local community and humanity. At this ceremony, a total of 20 Shilla University students received scholarships of 1 million KRW each, totaling 20 million KRW.

Heo Dong-gyun, a sophomore in the Fashion Design Department at Shilla University, said, “I am very happy to receive my first scholarship during my university life from ‘Sejeong,’ a leading domestic fashion company, as a fashion design major,” adding, “This scholarship will open many doors and bring me one step closer to achieving my dreams.”

President Heo Nam-sik expressed his gratitude, saying, “I would like to thank Chairman Park Soon-ho of the Sejeong Nanum Foundation for providing scholarships to the students,” and added, “I believe this will be a great encouragement to our university and the scholarship recipients.”

He continued, “I hope all students will deeply reflect on Chairman Park Soon-ho’s intentions and make significant contributions to society after graduation.”

Chairman Park Soon-ho of the Sejeong Nanum Foundation congratulated the students, saying, “I hope the scholarship recipients receive the positive energy of Sejeong and become bright and passionate future talents,” and added, “I also wish success and development to all students of Shilla University.”
