County governor Gang Jin-won stated, “Securing national and provincial funding is very important to promote key projects of the 8th local government term next year, such as fostering the primary industry, attracting tourists, and population inflow policies. To overcome the current crisis caused by the unprecedented tax revenue shortage, we will actively visit central government departments, the National Assembly, and Jeollanam-do Provincial Office, and secure government budgets through selection in various public contests.”

Meanwhile, Gangjin-gun recently secured 11.2 billion won after being selected as grade A in the Local Extinction Response Fund, and also secured 1.26 billion won in national and provincial funding by having two projects selected in the traditional market-related public contests held by Jeollanam-do and the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, including modernization of traditional market facilities. This has secured momentum for realizing the regional revitalization project in collaboration with The Born Korea Co., Ltd., and the county is making every effort to revitalize the local economy through selection in public contests.
