At the ‘2023 THE Jararm Workplace Daycare Center Childcare Contest’ held on the 14th at the Busan Port International Exhibition & Convention Center in Busan, 'Byeolidun Daycare Center,' newly opened in April 2023 in Pangyo, and 'Ajitteul Daycare Center,' which relocated in August 2022 and is currently located at Kakao Ajit in Pangyo, received the Grand Prize and Excellence Award respectively. A total of 184 entries were submitted to this contest, recording a competition rate of 5 to 1. Among the eight winners in the Space Environment Design category, two were Kakao daycare centers.

Kakao daycare centers received high evaluations for their use of eco-friendly materials focusing on the safety of infants and toddlers, curved finishing forms, spatial composition, and utilization of spaces and elements suitable for child development. As a result, all four daycare centers operated by Kakao have won awards in contests. Jeju Space Dot Kids Daycare Center won the Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Award at the 2015 Korea Architecture Culture Awards. Pangyo Neulyesol Daycare Center won the Excellence Award in the Space Environment Design category at the 2017 Korea Workers' Compensation and Welfare Service Childcare Contest.

Kakao operates a total of four daycare centers: 'Space Dot Kids Daycare Center' at its Jeju headquarters, and 'Neulyesol Daycare Center,' 'Ajitteul Daycare Center,' and 'Byeolidun Daycare Center' near the Kakao Pangyo office. They care for a total of 907 infants and toddlers, boasting the largest scale in the industry. Each daycare center is decorated with distinctive designs incorporating themes such as 'space' and 'plaza.' In addition to the revised play-centered standard childcare curriculum, Kakao also runs its own specialized programs.

Song Yuna, head of the Kakao Daycare Center Task Force (TF), said, "Despite being large-scale facilities, Kakao daycare centers reflect years of know-how, thoughtful consideration, and effort. We will continue to operate these spaces so that both employees and the infants and toddlers attending the daycare centers can spend happy times."
