78-Year-Old Shin Haja Resident of Siheung 1-dong Donates 5 Million Won to Help Neighbors in Need

Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yu Seong-hoon) announced on November 15 that Shin Haja (78), a resident of Siheung 1-dong, donated 5 million won to the Siheung 1-dong Community Service Center, saying, "I hope it will be used meaningfully for neighbors in need."

Mr. Shin stated, "When I was struggling to make a living after a business failure, I received a lot of help from the government," and added, "I wanted to keep that gratitude in my heart and give back, so I decided to donate."

The donation will be distributed to neighbors in need through the Community Chest of Korea.

Yu Seong-hoon, Mayor of Geumcheon-gu, expressed his gratitude, saying, "I am thankful for this warm heart despite difficult circumstances," and added, "We will ensure that this precious donation is used to help neighbors in need in the community."
