Strengthening Content Exchange and Collaboration with Thailand, Australia, and Others
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will hold the '2023 Global Multilateral Content Forum' with the governments and institutions of Thailand, Australia, and France at Busan BEXCO, where 'G-STAR 2023' is in full swing, on the 17th and 18th. Utilizing the network of the 'Content Industry Commercial Attach? Council in Korea,' launched last April, the forum aims to strengthen content exchange and collaboration between countries.
On the first day, there will be intergovernmental meetings and corporate exchange sessions. The former will include participants such as Yoon Yang-soo, Director General of the Content Policy Bureau at the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Kowit Pakamat, Director of the Thai Ministry of Culture, Julie Quinn, Trade and Investment Counselor at the Australian Embassy, and Ludovic Guiot, Counselor at the French Embassy. They will present government support policies and market status of the game industry in each country and discuss the latest trends in the game industry. The latter will focus on establishing mutual networks and laying the foundation for the development and expansion of exchanges in the game industry. On the second day, participants will visit 'G-STAR 2023' and seek to create practical business opportunities through business matching events between companies.
Director General Yoon Yang-soo stated, "Korea's game industry accounts for about 70% of the total export value of the content industry, making it very important," and added, "I hope that through the forum, the current status and prospects of the game industries of each country will be discussed and collaboration for the development of K-content will be strengthened."
