Volvo Group Korea Holds Dedication Ceremony for Local Children's Housing Improvement Project

Support for Residential Environment Improvement Construction and Space Consulting

Construction machinery company Volvo Group Korea held a dedication ceremony for the housing improvement project for local children, 'Volvo New Home Project No. 2,' on the 15th.

The Volvo New Home Project is a child housing environment improvement initiative that Volvo Group Korea has been promoting since last year. It provides space renovation and organization consulting to beneficiary households and facilities and aims to improve the quality of life for children through better housing environments. It also seeks to provide a supportive foundation for children's growth and independence.

This year, housing improvement construction and space consulting were supported for a total of six households, including the 'Dungeunnara Group Home' in Gangdong-gu, Seoul, and single-parent families, grandparent-headed families, and families with disabled children in the Changwon area. Volvo Group Korea donated a total of 120 million KRW for this purpose.

Volvo Group Korea is conducting the project through a tripartite agreement with Habitat Korea and Saesalm. Habitat Korea provides comprehensive support for renovating old spaces, and Lee Ji-young, CEO of Saesalm and a space creator, is working to improve children's quality of life through space consulting. Volvo Group Korea plans and sponsors the overall project and plays a key role.
