Commemoration Ceremony for Child Abuse Prevention Day
On the 15th, Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam held the '2023 Child Abuse Prevention Day Ceremony' at the Changwon Women's Hall Grand Auditorium.
This event was organized by Changwon City and hosted by the Changwon Child Protection Agency in celebration of Child Abuse Prevention Day on the 19th, aiming to raise public awareness and vigilance against child abuse.
During the ceremony, individuals who contributed to the prevention of child abuse and the protection of abused children were commended and encouraged, and a commitment was made to create a safe and happy world for children.
In particular, the 2024 Changwon-style child protection system slogan, "Let's Watch More Children Together with Changwon Special City in 2024," was announced, making the occasion even more meaningful.
Additionally, in observance of Child Abuse Prevention Week, from the 20th to the 24th, child abuse prevention campaigns will be conducted in five districts including Sangnam Fountain Square, along with various promotional activities to improve awareness of child abuse.
Jang Geum-yong, the First Deputy Mayor, stated, "Our city will continue to work closely with related organizations to create an environment where children are respected and protected. I ask everyone present here to also show their affection and interest."
