Galaxia Moneytree recorded solid third-quarter results driven by the high growth of its credit card-based electronic payment gateway (PG) service.
On the 14th, Galaxia Moneytree announced that its cumulative sales for the third quarter on a separate basis reached 97.2 billion KRW, a 23% increase compared to the same period last year. Operating profit and net profit for the same period were 9.6 billion KRW and 4.5 billion KRW, respectively.
On a consolidated basis for the third quarter, cumulative sales amounted to 97.2 billion KRW, up 19% year-on-year. Operating profit and net profit during this period were 7 billion KRW and 1.7 billion KRW, respectively.
A company representative stated, “This quarter, we became the first in the industry to offer credit card payment services for public utility bills that companies previously paid via Giro, which significantly increased the payment amount. Starting from the fourth quarter, the business water tax service will be added, further boosting credit card transaction amounts and sales.”
Galaxia Moneytree’s major new business, the STO (Security Token Offering) project, is also progressing smoothly. The company is currently promoting the issuance of STO products based on six underlying assets. The company plans to launch STO products as soon as possible, aiming to submit a securities registration statement early next year.
Additionally, Galaxia Moneytree has joined the joint venture (JV) “Korea ST Exchange” for over-the-counter trading brokerage of token securities. Korea ST Exchange includes AssetChain, a company specializing in token securities infrastructure development, and Innosalt, a securities service specialist. Starting with acquiring an over-the-counter trading brokerage license, they are devising strategies to dominate the STO distribution market.
