On this day, the rally was held as a ‘General Public Officials Welfare Improvement Victory and General Mobilization Rally’ with the attendance of Seok Hyun-jeong, Chairperson of the Korea Public Officials Labor Union Federation, the Education Federation, and unit union chairpersons, urging the revision of ordinances and six other demands.
The union demanded ▲revision of the long-term service leave ordinance ▲payment of school accounting work support fees ▲expansion of promotion quotas for general public officials at grades 6 and 7 ▲establishment of promotion criteria tables for general public officials ▲installation and manpower expansion of health and meal teams at education support offices ▲abolition of facilities for efficient management of each school facility ▲payment of support fees for the deployment of school transportation vehicles.
Chairperson Jo Jong-yeol stated, “At the integrity culture event held last August, we listened to various voices from union members and general public officials,” and added, “This rally is related to the overall welfare of general public officials at the provincial office of education, and we hope for immediate implementation by Superintendent Kim Dae-jung.”
