Actor Park Young-gyu Appointed as Ambassador for Community Chest of Korea

Actor Park Young-gyu was appointed as an ambassador for the Community Chest of Korea (President Kim Byung-joon) on the 14th. The appointment ceremony held at the Community Chest of Korea Hall in Jung-gu, Seoul, was attended by Park, along with Kim Byung-joon, President of the Community Chest, Vice President Kim Hyung-chul, and Secretary General Hwang In-sik.

Park said, "I have always wanted to do work that helps society, and I am honored to join in spreading positive influence as an ambassador for the Community Chest of Korea." He added, "I will do my best to promote the culture of sharing as an ambassador and to bring joy and comfort to the public."

Kim Byung-joon, President of the Community Chest, said, "We are pleased to have actor Park Young-gyu, who delivers joy and emotion to the public through a wide spectrum of acting, as our ambassador. We look forward to him widely promoting the culture of sharing and spreading positive influence."

Park is a representative versatile actor in Korea, known for his comedic roles in sitcoms such as Sunpung Obstetrics and Gynecology and Live Straight, as well as his portrayal of the villain Lee In-im in the historical drama Jeong Do-jeon, showcasing his broad acting range across genres.

Meanwhile, there are currently 34 ambassadors for the Community Chest. They include actress Chae Shi-ra, who has been active as an ambassador since the foundation of the Community Chest in 1998, actor Kim Bo-sung, singer Park Sang-min, broadcaster Hwang Ki-soon, athletes Park In-bi and Lee Bong-ju, magician Choi Hyun-woo, popera tenor Lim Hyung-joo, and chef Lee Yeon-bok, among others.
