Gurye-gun, Public Contest for County Administration Development Ideas

Discovering and Utilizing Unique Local Resources

Gurye-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 14th that it will hold a contest for ideas to develop county administration in the second half of the year until the 21st.

This contest is being promoted to prepare for the full-scale "local era" and to discover unique ideas specific to Gurye that can overcome the crisis of population extinction.

The contest fields include three areas: discovering and utilizing distinctive local resources, differentiating county festivals and events, and creative ideas regarding overall county administration.

Anyone interested in Gurye can participate online and via mobile through Gurye-gun’s online communication platform, "Gurye Sotong Maru."

Outstanding proposals will be reviewed by the proposal evaluation committee and awarded at the end of December. The awards include up to 9 winners: 1 Gold Prize, 1 Silver Prize, and 2 Bronze Prizes, with a total prize money of 4.2 million KRW.

Additionally, a chicken event will be held to actively encourage participation.

County Governor Kim Sun-ho said, "As the saying goes, 'thought is energy,' even small ideas can become the foundation for Gurye’s development," adding, "We hope you actively propose ideas that can highlight Gurye’s unique characteristics."
