DYPNF Reports 2.1 Billion KRW Operating Profit in 3Q... "Turnaround Success"

DYPNF, the No.1 powder conveying system specialist in Korea, achieved external growth and a turnaround by setting a record high order backlog.

On the 14th, DYPNF announced that its operating profit on a consolidated basis for the third quarter of this year turned positive to 2.1 billion KRW. Net profit for the same period also turned positive to 1.6 billion KRW compared to the same period last year, and sales increased by 32% to 34.2 billion KRW.

The cumulative operating profit for the third quarter on a consolidated basis also turned positive to 2.4 billion KRW. The resumption of major projects delayed due to COVID-19 drove the improvement in performance.

In addition, through new orders from domestic and overseas petrochemical and energy companies, the company's order backlog as of the end of September reached a record high of approximately 470 billion KRW.

A company official explained, "We achieved the highest order backlog ever through new orders for major domestic and international petrochemical projects, and at the same time, the delayed order sales were fully recognized, resulting in strong third-quarter performance."

He added, "We will continue steady performance growth in high-growth new markets such as PCS (pneumatic conveying system) business, secondary batteries, and waste battery EPC."
